Amanda Carter Gomes is an editor, writer, producer and the founder of online publication, The Fold. Amanda spent much of her early career working in marketing, event management, video and photo production for clients in the private and non-profit sectors. She launched Merit Creative Consulting in 2009 to bring her marketing, PR, and creative services under one roof.

In 2012, Amanda segued into online publishing and was recruited to join the team of multi-authored millennial lifestyle website and subsequently took over the business in 2015. She launched The Fold in July of 2017, a digital destination, panel and event series for the evolved woman that focuses on the contributions, importance, and value of being a feminist female. In collaboration with a group of exemplary women writers and creatives, The Fold highlights the ageless individuals who are open to change and confident to inspire revolution at any age. The Fold covers Arts & Culture, Relationships, Wellness, Motherhood, Personal Style, and Politics - all issues relevant to being an informed woman in today's society.
