ANA VISNESKI
Founder, Merewif
Ana Visneski is an author and the founder of Merewif, a boutique crisis management firm that works with games and tech companies. She is the CCO of the International Association of Search and Rescue Coordinators. She is a go-to expert and sought-after speaker and trainer in all things crisis communications and crisis management.
The arc of her career has been formed by making huge changes to organizations that are resistant, even allergic, to change — including the US Coast Guard, where she oversaw crisis communication responses for major disasters from Hurricane Katrina to the BP Oil Spill; to her time at Amazon Web Services as the Head of Global Disaster Response running the COVID19 Response.
Ana also currently teaches Crisis Communications at her alma mater (she’s a triple Husky), the University of Washington in Seattle. She is always happy to meet others at the Cloud Room to talk crises, puppies, or pretty much anything.
