LISA O’DELL
Director of Development, REST
Lisa O'Dell is on a mission to ensure that everyone has the right and ability to live a life free from exploitation—while still keeping her adventurous spirit alive! By day (and sometimes night), she works for REST, providing freedom, safety, and hope for victims of sex trafficking. Most people are completely unaware that in King County alone there are 2,000-3,000 people a night being sexually exploited, and 500-700 of those are youth. (Check out iwantrest.com to see what REST is doing about it.) And, since REST can’t possibly change all of that alone and needs the help of the whole community, Lisa’s favorite thing in the world is meeting with people who are curious about changing those numbers! She is in the Cloud Room pretty much all hours of the day and night when she is in town, so you can totally make her day by reaching out to talk about it over one of our fabulous Wonderground Coffee Superboost Oat Lattes that Cloud Room provides!
And to help round out her nonprofit salary (because hey, travel and dance don't pay for themselves!), she moonlights as the Chief Global Impact Officer for Neural Bridge AI in NYC. This not only explains why she spends so much time in the Big Apple, but also fulfills her passion for global social impact. It's a win-win: she gets to make a difference both locally and abroad, while still indulging in all of her favorite activities. Plus, it adds a dash of extra income, making life that much more fabulous.
