Steven Severin
Co-owner of Neumos
Steven Severin is a co-owner of Neumos on Capitol Hill, and co-owns the venues Barboza and The Runaway Bar producing and promoting events from Adele to Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings. He is the founder and co-owner of Wake Up Productions doing events across Washington and Oregon since 2004 and offering talent booking, promotions, sponsorships, and production.
Steven got his start at the legendary Seattle venue RKCNDY and has since become marginally more respectable: as a member of the Mayor’s original Music Advisory Board; on Bumbershoot’s Advisory Board: the founding Creative Artistic Director and Talent Buyer for City Arts Fest and a founding member of the Seattle Nightlife and Music Association. He also has worked with Save our Sonics for almost a decade doing all he can to help bring the SuperSonics back home.He was even called the most influential person in nightlife once upon a time in WA.
In 2019 Steven opened the all Plant Based Rest/Bar/Record store Life On Mars with KEXP’s John Richards, Amy Richards, and wife Leigh Sims. Since the pandemic started, he founded WA Nightlife and Music Association and began raising $ to help venues through Keep Music Live while working with NIVA as a Precinct Captain helping pass the SOS ACT in Congress, providing a lifeline to music venues during the pandemic.
