Fuel has been proud to serve the Montlake community since 2006 with expert coffee, fresh-baked local pastries, grab n go snacks and more. Plenty of seating and a lovely patio, just blocks from the Arboretum! Fun fact: our space was an old pharmacy-soda fountain, and the back bar is original! This is our second store, opened just a year after our first location up the street on 19th & Mercer.

A longtime family-owned and operated corner shop that will definitely surprise you! Check out the wine selection....seriously, check it out. I've stumbled across many new favorites right there on the shelves, and some great snacks to go with it....ice cream sandwich + rose anyone?

Dani has three great loves: great coffee, great food, and community. In 2005, Dani opened Fuel Coffee, and by 2007 had expanded it to 3 locations. In 2008, during a troubled economy, High 5 Pie was launched to bring a little “delicious comfort” to tough times. Dani believes that people come together over good food and drink and creates places that offer this experience, which most recently has lead to opening Cone & Steiner in 2014, now 3 locations and growing. Dani’s businesses have gained local and national attention (MSNBC, Martha Stewart, Bon Appetit, PSBJ 40 Under 40) and created speaking opportunities (TEDx, UW). Love of community is a driving force for Dani, who serves on the Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce Board, Capitol Hill Housing Board, GSBA Small Business Council, Chair of Seattle Entrepreneurial Women, FareStart Board and Employer Advisory Council, UW Foster School of Business MS Entre Advisory Board, and is a Founding Member of Seattle Made and 2018 winner of the Nellie Cashman Business Owner of the Year Award. Dani holds a BA in Business Economics from Willamette University.
