CELEBRATE | Beyond the Beat
Seattle has always had a flourishing music community full of emerging youth artists changing and challenging the scene. Supporting local up and coming musicians is essential to sustaining the rich, colorful culture of creativity that makes Seattle, Seattle. Show up and show out for them this weekend at Beyond the Beat. Hosted by KEXP in partnership with LANGSTON, The Vera Project, and The Goodbye Look, Beyond the Beat is a free event that celebrates community and the future of Seattle music. Learn about various youth and all-ages workshops and events going on in Seattle while listening to DJs Mike Ramos and Vitamin D spin in the background. Local performers Kassa Overall (Seattle-born Grammy-nominated drummer, singer, and producer), Talaya, and King ZAAE will take the stage with live performances.

SUPPORT | Art Transforms 2023
Since 2008, local nonprofit Path with Art has been at the forefront of a growing international movement that utilizes the power of art to bring dignity, awareness, and healing to the complex issues of homelessness and trauma recovery. Considering Seattle’s rapidly growing unhoused population, this work is more vital than ever. Through transformative arts engagement and community building, Path with Art fosters the restoration of the relationship between individuals, their communities, and society at large. Support their vision by attending Art Transforms for a night of good food and conversation with the nonprofit’s participant artists and keynote speaker, Dr. Jill Sonke.

This event goes beyond theatre, creating a community where entertainment and enlightenment merge. The curated, two-act show features five incredible (and ordinary) people from all walks of life who share their true stories live and without notes.
